Founded by Heather Marie in 2009, 72Lux is an online shopping destination that brings together over 950 luxury boutiques and retailers, letting fashionistas shop their favorite brands in a single location. The first and only company to host a universal checkout, the company has formed partnerships with Michael Kors, Zac Posen, Tory Burch, Diane von Furstenberg, and Alexander McQueen, among many others. Shoppers can browse more than 100,000 products by designer, clothing type, size, and color, and check out only once when they’re done.
72Lux, which takes its name from NYC’s East 72nd Street and luxury, takes a cut of every sale. The startup also licenses its universal checkout to digital publishers and enterprise clients, allowing them to white label the system and incorporate e-commerce into their own websites. According to Marie, who also serves as CEO, 72Lux is primarily focused on SaaS. 72Lux is a member of the First Growth Venture Network and 500 Startups.
