For the past seven years, Princess Deena Abdulaziz has led the fashion-forward Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, boutique D’NA. Hand-picking couture items through trips to design studios and fashion events in New York, Paris, and Milan, she emphasizes working with designers with the technical proficiency to carry out creations with the highest levels of craftsmanship.

Among the emerging talents D’NA has featured in recent trunk shows is Tina Maristela-Ocampo. A former model in the Philippines, Maristela-Ocampo launched her exotic line of jewelry and handbags in 2006. Utilizing all-organic materials, Ms. Maristela-Ocampo has created clutches that feature finely wrought frames, painted leathers, and crocodile skins. She has also transformed native paua shells into ornamental cases through the innovative use of clasps and silver mounts.

D’NA offers its members exclusive access to the artworks, design objects, and fashions of visionaries such as Haider Ackermann, Marni, and Peter Pilotto. Princess Abdulaziz takes pride in showcasing talents from Arabian peninsula. She recently unveiled noted Bahraini designer Sofia Al Asfoor’s first-ever Riyadh trunk show. Reflecting her Arabian heritage, Al Asfoor has created a line of exquisite Shield handbags with striking geometric designs. The handbags feature leathers from the most respected tanneries in Europe, with each bespoke creation requiring 72 hours to complete.

A unique aspect of Princess Deena Abdulaziz’ business approach involves her commitment to customized collections that fully meet the expectations of clients. She collaborates with leading designers in creating floor-length versions of collections, and in selecting color elements that her members will appreciate. D’NA offers a similarly personalized retail shopping experience, with Riyadh and Doha locations featuring wall-projected art house cinema and a tasteful array of artworks and design objects.
