A mission-driven business based in California, One World Futbol Project is the creator and distributor of the One World Futbol, the world’s first virtually indestructible ball. The One World Futbol was invented by songwriter and music producer Tim Jahnigen, who was inspired to design a ball that would never wear out and never require a pump after seeing a news footage of young Darfur refugees playing with a makeshift ball. Following a chance conversation with artist Sting, who provided the support needed for research and development, the One World Futbol went from concept to reality.
For every One World Futbol sold, One World Futbol Project gives a second ball to a community in need such as refugee camps, disaster areas, war zones, and inner cities. For children living in these disadvantaged communities, soccer provides a positive escape as well as teaches teamwork and conflict resolution. One World Futbol Project aims to distribute millions of One World Futbols to kids living in challenging environments.
