About 80 percent of Pinterest users are women, so it’s no surprise that the site exudes a female aura; browse the popular online pinboard and you’ll likely come across images of nail art, women’s fashion, and 15 different ways to braid your hair. But women aren’t the only ones who like to collect and organize the things they find on the Internet, so two entrepreneurs from Vancouver decided to create a male version of Pinterest.
Founded by Colin Brown and Kamil Szybalski, Dudepins is “the site to discover and share everything that’s manly.” Just like Pinterest, users can save and arrange interesting photos, videos, and articles into different boards or montages. In addition, guys can discover cool things that other users have saved to the site.
Dudepins has been featured in a number of media outlets, including Vancouver Sun, CNN, Techvibes, and The Huffington Post. Earlier this year, the company was a finalist for “Best Concept” at Small Business BC’s Successful You Awards.
